When our civilisation is gone, plastic may be one of its last remaining traces
Plasticities is an anthropo-fiction imagining the future of this colonising material: after the formation of a solid plastic continent, human communities learn to inhabit this new territory. Here, fiction becomes a tool for experimentation. Waste, landscape, resource or treasure, plastic shifts in function and value according to the way it is perceived. By exploring the plastic properties of plastic, its capacity to be transformed, assembled and recycled, the project shifts the question from its disappearance to that of our possible adaptations.

One day, a child opened its eyes and all it could see were huge little mountains of plastic
Developed with architect and artist Kristoffer Stephan, the project brings the scenario into dialogue with his research on transformable structures and the mechanical properties of materials. Engineering gives form to the needs of this speculative society and, in turn, becomes material for storytelling. From this exchange emerge sculptures, images, sounds and immersive environments that gradually compose the speculative archaeology of this society
